Connected Mathematics 2 is a program that helps kids learn about math. Connected mathematics 2 is broken up into eight units. The eight units in this book are Prime Time, Bits and Pieces One, Bits and pieces Two, Shapes and Deigns, Covering and Surroundings, How Likely is it, Bits and Pieces Three, and Data About Us. The units I went over in my math class are Prime Time, Bits and Pieces One, Bits and Pieces Two, Shapes and Deigns, Covering and Surroundings, and How Likely is it. Our books are set up with investigations. The investigations are set up in points like investigation 4.2. After we are done doing our class work the teacher gives us home work from our A.C.E part of our investigation. A.C.E stands for Applications Connections Extensions. The teacher gives us the homework from the part we worked on in class. In math class we have note books that are set up into different sections. The sections are class work, home work, vocabulary, assessments, and references. In the class work section we keep our class work in there. In our home work section we work on are home work in there. In our assessments we keep all of our tests and reflections or other grades in that part. In the vocabulary section we keep our vocabulary notebooks in that part to copy are vocabulary in the book we worked on. At the end of every book the teacher collects the books and all of our work and test to grade and he hands us our new book and lab sheet and a sheet to copy are home work down in. My favorite book is How Likely Is It because we worked on probability. I also like it because when I am older I will know probability really good and I will get it if I ever learn it again. In How Likely Is It we had to flip coins and cups to find if it will land on heads or tails more and if the cups will land on side or right side up. I also like How Likely Is It because I could understand it the most out of all the books.
